The evidence-based interpretation of the MMPI-2-RF is well articulated and
straightforwardly described in several books and manuals (e.g., Ben-Porath, 2008). As is
recognized by the evidence-based movement, expert knowledge can bolster research data
in meaningful ways. In working with the MMPI-2-RF vis-a-vis patients with personality
pathology, I have accrued clinical observations regarding indicators and patterns that I have
found particularly helpful in making case- conceptualizations, as well as giving feedback in
Therapeutic Assessment. We will discuss clinical hypotheses that might be derived from
specific scales and configurations, and I will reflect on patterns for specific diagnoses. I will
also present some illustrative case-material in the process. The principal aim of this webinar
is to amplify your ability to formulate clinical hypotheses based on the MMPI-2-RF. The last
half hour I will reserve for answering your questions, expanding any topic I touched on, or
briefly consulting on MMPI-2-RF data you bring.
